Music & Comedy @ Glanfest

Mundy – Sunday Night

Mundy, born Edmond Enright in Birr, County Offaly, moved to Dublin at 18 to join the bustling busking scene. Amid heartbreak, he penned hits like ‘Gin & Tonic Sky’ and ‘Life’s A Cinch’, leading to a deal with Sony’s Epic records and Warner Chappell Music. His debut album ‘Jelly Legs’ sold 50,000 copies, with standout single ‘To You I Bestow’ featured in Baz Luhrmann’s ‘Romeo & Juliet’, selling 11 million copies worldwide.

With eight albums to his name, including chart-topper ‘Raining Down Arrows’, Mundy has earned gold and multi-platinum sales, along with accolades like the Meteor Music Awards for ‘Best Male’ and ‘Most Downloaded Song’ for ‘Galway Girl’ featuring Sharon Shannon. ‘July’ is a surefire hit whatever month of the year! He’s shared stages with icons like Bob Dylan, Neil Young, and performed at the White House for President Barack Obama’s St. Patrick’s Day celebrations.

Deuces Wild – Sunday Night

Deuces Wild is one of the top professional wedding and party bands in Ireland. With four experienced musicians and singers, the band ensures to please your crowd and play the music that creates unforgettable memories. Returning to Glanfest after a monster performance last year, we can’t wait for them to belt out the hits once again!

Cornelius Patrick O Sullivan – Sunday Night

Cornelius Patrick O’Sullivan brings his stand-up comedy show to Glanfest. At odds with the world, he is also at odds with himself – a middle-aged analogue man in a metaverse of confusion.

His stand-up comedy deal with serious topics like local GAA, fatherhood, marriage, autism, in-laws, outlaws, cannabis and the sudden realisation that although he may be still in the race there is absolutely no chance of winning, so he may as well just get on with it!

A comedian, improviser, writer, podcaster and actor, Cornelius has performed widely and has played at festivals such as Edinburgh Fringe and Kilkenny Cat Laughs. Television credits include Republic of Telly and Sketch (RTÉ 2 Sketch show).

The Fógues – Saturday Night

The Fógues are a four-piece ballad group who hail from the Mitchelstown area, at the foot of the majestic Galtee Mountains. The band are comprised of cousins Micheál, William and Jack Fogarty, and their friend Ted O’Brien. The four men come from houses steeped in musical tradition, and a love for performance is in their genes.

Veterans of Indiepedence and multiple tours of Ireland and The UK, The Fógues return to Glanfest for another rollicking night!
